When should a termination be captured on Radar?

You have an employee whose employment needs to be terminated, and not sure when to capture this.

The best time to capture the termination is as soon as you are made aware of the termination, but preferably before the pay run deadline for the month in which the termination is taking place.

Termination related earnings will not reflect on the employee's final payslip if the termination was recorded after the pay run deadline for the respective month.

To rectify this, you will need to inform Radar of the situation along with your preferred choice of the below:

  1. Revise the applicable month's pay run. You will need to resubmit the month's payroll for processing to Radar. Any termination-related earnings for the employee will need to be paid by you to the employee directly; or
  2. You can set the employee’s termination date to the first day of the following month (e.g., 1 June). Radar will then include the employee in the following month's pay run and automatically calculate the amount of termination related earnings that need to be paid out. We can then assist you in ensuring that any pro-rata salary is paid correctly.
